Quartz sand is a construction chemical preferred for surface arrangement due to its high water permeability allowing drainage of surface waters in certain sports facilities like hippodromes, manèges, golf courses and AstroTurf facilities. On the other hand, quartz sand can be used as an insulation and filtration component in bottom filters of tanks where construction chemicals are prepares, as it is used as an isolation material in bulk leaching pits in gold mines.
